Hey internet, my name is Fletcher Anthony Fickes. My mommy and daddy got me this website and are going to keep it up to date until I can write messages for myself. Here's some information about me:

My Stats: I'm one! So far being one has been great! I'm starting to take baby steps from one thing to another but haven't ventured out into the great unknown yet. I'm waving and saying "bye bye", I can say "ball" and I'm pointing and vocalizing to get what I want. I love flowers and I get mad when mommy walks by them without letting me pick them. Trucks and motorcycles are super cool and I love it when I hear the train! I say "tra" when I hear it and can make a choo choo sound. I'm finally starting to eat actual solid foods and so far pizza, quesadillas and turkey brats are my favorites. I also like pieces of fruit, crackers and grilled cheese. I have also started drinking cows milk and I can't get enough of it!

My birth   I was born on 7/1/07 at 1:58 AM. Mommy was in labor all day on the 30th but I really wanted to stay put so they delivered me by c-section. I came out at 9 lbs 13 oz and 21 3/4 inches!

Hirschsprung's   I was diagnosed with Hirschsprung's disease when I was about 13 days old. I had surgery at 17 days and I had my second procedure on November 2, 2007, at 17 weeks.  I am doing great with my recovery which the doctor said should last about nine months.  Hirschsprung's occurs when the nerves don't develop all the way down the digestive tract so the part without nerves needs to be removed surgically. There's all sorts of detailed information about Hirschsprung's on Google if you're interested.
